OK, but has some problems with cablesReview Date: 2010-07-24 Rating: 6 out of 10If you are getting this to hold your iPod and you use the audio jack to run the sound to your car stereo, then approach with caution. The audio jack on my iPod nano is on the bottom and when a cable is plugged into the jack the iPod will not sit properly in the cradle. I give this 'three stars' for ease of use because of this hassle.
If you use the doc connector, you may find that there is room in the cradle to accomodate the connector and cable.
I got my cradle for 1 cent plus S&H through one of the vendors on Amazon. I see it advertised for as much as $36, so be aware that there are lower cost options.

Reviewsdoes the jobReview Date: 2010-07-10 Rating: 10 out of 10After searching through the myriad of available options for an ipod holder for my car, a friend suggested this one, and it works perfectly. It holds the ipod securely while allowing me to plug the power cord into the cigarette lighter, and the other cord into my car stereo, and all for around 5 bucks! Sometimes the simpler the better...Basis design, but works good.Review Date: 2010-05-14 Rating: 10 out of 10It's cheap, simple, but was just what I was looking for. I needed something to hold my Ipod Classic while in my car. Previously, I would just keep it in my lap or on the passenger seat. This product gave me a place to secure it and I can still see the screen. I have a rubber case over my Ipod, but it still fit in the cradle just fine. The cradle fits good into the cup holder too.Great productReview Date: 2009-08-04 Rating: 6 out of 10After reading the reviews I figured it was worth a shot for my 80gb video.
Probably going to go with a kensington fm transmitter to complete the package.
[...]Cheap and IneffectiveReview Date: 2008-07-28 Rating: 2 out of 10I bought this an answer to where to put my ipod in the car and it was ineffective. It cracked easy and i was unable to plug in my aux cord with it in the holder. Brand: Griffin Technology
